Free Post: Character Inspiration

Welcome back, so this is the first free post that I've done in a while and in this one I wanted to discuss the inspiration behind different characters. 

For me, I was the grunge character, and I took inspiration from a lot of different rock stars like Kurt Cobain, Joan Jett, or Avril Lavigne for example.

For Bryanna's character, who was the preppy girl, we wanted to give her the sort of Legally Blonde/Mean Girls kind of vibe, (but obviously not like a mean girl but more popular in that sense.) So, for her we kind of made her character from Regina George or Cher from clueless. 

 

As for Mals character, we gave her the stereotype of the nerd, which in itself is pretty self-explanatory, so we didn't really need much inspiration from existing movie characters. For her, I would probably say that the inspiration was the nerd stereotype from The Breakfast Club or any sort of bookworm or straight A student in any coming-of-age indie film.
