Brainstorming

Oh boy, the brainstorming phase. Let's just say this class period had me DYING of laughter. I guess all of us are just so creative and can come up with so many topics so fast- all of which were useless and not gonna be the final project. That much I can tell you.

Here is a list of ideas that will NOT be our final project:
  • A knock off Garfield film where we have Bry dressed in all pink and catsuit and call it ‘Barfied’ or something.
  • Some reality show style documentary about the Kardashians and Kanye West (absolutely not happening.)
  • For a while we watched clips from ‘Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’ which- I have no comment on.
  • We also brought up Pete Davidson? and some animated dog movie that he made? I'm not totally opposed to Pete Davison though (but that’s just me.)

We had all sorts of ideas floating around initially but I think there was just something about today where everyone wanted to give the most random and obscure idea and pretend that we do it. For instance, we had a knock off Garfield idea floating around for a while and something about a talking alligator.

Ultimately, the only solid idea that anyone's given for our final project was a coming-of-age film where we have different personalities like interact with each other, but there was no plot or anything of substance really. Me, personally, I wanna make a movie that's like coming of age but also set sometime in the 70s or 80s to really get that vintage and retro aesthetic or feel. But then again, how are we gonna do that without it being oh the 70s or having a budget over $100?

I wanted to make it based off of the aesthetic of Dazed and Confused or Almost Famous, and I would if I was doing the project individually, but I don't think it's gonna work with the rest of the group's ideas. So, eh, I can compromise. :(

But besides that one coming of age film, we've got no other ideas. I'm sure we'll think of something by the deadline, but we at least we made progress, I guess.
