Sound Story!

For the sound story, I worked with Bryanna and Malavika. Our first idea would have been a plane ride where we could have screaming babies, talking people, white noise, the ding of the overhead speaker, turbulent sounds, etc. However, we figured that the easiest or most accessible option would be noises from the mall. So, we went to Pembroke lakes mall and tried to record some sounds there, but that was difficult. When we got there, we thought maybe we should do like arcade sounds, but the music in the background was way too loud and clear to use without getting permission, so we scrapped that idea. We also got distracted a lot. Anyway, we started listing sounds that we could potentially find around the mall to use. We had footsteps, doors opening closing, people talking and laughing, some elevator music, and the rustling of bags. I think we had some solid sounds, but I wasn't sure how to put it together, so Bryanna and Malavika did that part.

I think we could have included some pictures as the background of the audio or video clip, that may have been where we went wrong. If that's the case, I would have included a picture of the hallways of the mall or maybe the inside of a shop, but it's a little late for that so I'll just put it here. In order to record the sounds, we used the audio recording app already embedded in iPhone, but to put it together we just made it into a video with a black screen background. Overall, we got an 85 on our sound story. I wasn't there to present with them, so I don't know how we did in that sense, but I like the way our sound story is.

(We also shot in Dillards and got some weird stares from old ladies.)
